- Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
- Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
- Accepting responsibility and apologizing to those affected by mistakes
- Focusing on what is best for the community
Examples of unacceptable behavior
- The use of sexualized language or imagery, and unwelcome sexual attention
- Trolling, insulting comments, and personal or political attacks
- Public or private harassment
- Publishing others' private information without explicit permission
- Other conduct reasonably considered inappropriate in a professional setting
Myanmar-context additions
- Language: English is the instruction language. Burmese is welcome in support channels. We do not shame anyone for English fluency or accent.
- Political content: We keep cohort channels and Tour-affiliated spaces free of political content (Myanmar political situation, international politics, party advocacy).
- Religious and ethnic content: Likewise out of scope. Discussions about any specific religious or ethnic group as such are not welcome in cohort spaces.
- Gender in tech: Zero tolerance for harassment of women in tech, including dismissive treatment of women's contributions, sexual comments, and gendered assumptions about competence.
Enforcement responsibilities
The lead instructor enforces this Code of Conduct. Reports of unacceptable behavior should be made privately to ai+conduct@vibecode.tours.
Enforcement guidelines
- 1. Correction — Private warning, with explanation of why.
- 2. Warning — Continued or more serious violation. Time-out from specific channels. Apology required.
- 3. Temporary ban — Serious violation. Removed from cohort for defined period (1-4 weeks).
- 4. Permanent ban — Pattern of violations or single egregious violation. Removed from cohort permanently.
