Privacy Policy

What we collect
When you apply
Application form data: name, email, Telegram handle, OS, RAM, internet quality, timezone, English fluency level, programming experience, AI tool experience, motivation essay, project idea, weekly time commitment, preferences (class format, code-stuck response, team role), and your honest answer to "why should we pick you."
When you participate
Attendance records, session feedback (anonymous or named), code you post in cohort channels, PRs you submit to the Tour Repo (public), and optional demo day recordings (with explicit opt-in).
Automatically
- Site analytics (only if enabled — currently none for Cohort 1)
- Server logs from third-party hosts (GitHub Pages, Telegram, etc. — see their policies)
Why we collect it
- Application data: to score and select cohort participants per the public scoring rubric
- Attendance: to ensure the cohort runs and to identify students needing support
- PRs: to maintain the public cohort archive (your portfolio)
- Demo recordings: only with your explicit consent at recording time
How long we keep it
- Selection-scoring CSV: deleted 12 months after the cohort ends
- Application form raw data: deleted 12 months after the cohort ends
- Cohort channel messages: stay in Telegram per Telegram's retention; we don't archive separately
- Tour Repo public PRs: stay forever (it's a public archive). You may request your contributions be anonymized by emailing ai+privacy@vibecode.tours
- Demo day recordings: kept indefinitely if posted publicly with your consent; deletable on request
Who sees it
- Selection data: lead instructor + named scoring team members only (currently: lead instructor only). Never sold. Never shared with third parties.
- Attendance: instructor only
- Channel messages: cohort + instructor (Telegram itself sees them per their policy)
- PRs + demo recordings: public, per your consent

- GitHub (Tour Repo + this site): see GitHub privacy statement
- Telegram (cohort channel): see telegram.org/privacy
- YouTube (unlisted setup video): see YouTube data commitments
- Anthropic (Claude API): your API usage data is governed by Anthropic's terms if you bring your own key; if we provide credits via LiteLLM proxy, proxy logs are deleted within 30 days

Your rights
You may at any time:
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Request correction of any data
- Request deletion of your application data (we will delete and notify you of completion within 30 days)
- Request anonymization of your contributions to the public archive
- Withdraw consent for any recording

Children
We do not accept applicants under 18. If you discover that you provided information while under 18, please contact us immediately for deletion.
International transfers
This site is hosted by GitHub (US). Application form data may be processed by Tally.so (EU) or Google Forms (US). By applying, you consent to these transfers.
Security
We use HTTPS site-wide. Application form data is stored in the form provider's encrypted database. Selection scoring is done on the instructor's local machine, never on cloud storage.
Updates
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via email to current cohort participants and posted to this page.
